Gordon Equities (GEI) was established in 1985 to manage the investments of the Roberts and McHaney families. The family had been involved in Texas media since 1942 when Morris Roberts purchased the Victoria Advocate Newspaper in Victoria Texas. Succeeding generations expanded the media business to East Texas. Three generations of the family have been involved in the business over the years and it is currently led by the third generation. The family has invested in real estate, multi-family development, commercial printing, equipment rental as well as industrial manufacturing. While GEI prefers to take lead investments, we have taken minority positions with quality management teams. As of 2025 GEI has two active investments.
